Announcements for 4/16/12

Dear Relief Society Sisters,

Our theme for our Stake Women's Conference this year (on Saturday, May 5th, from 11-3:30 in Nanaimo) is:

"Behold, He Cometh". Be faithful, praying always, having your lamps trimmed and burning and oil with you. (D&C33:17)

We would love this day to include contributions from all the Relief Society in your unit and therefore we invite each sister to share with us one way in which they have "added oil to their lamp".

This could be a regular daily experience, one that is less frequent or one special experience that has "added oil to their lamp".

We are asking that these experiences be written down (maximum of 50 words please) and e-mailed to rmastocker@shaw.ca . We would like to receive these by April 18th.

In preparation for next Sunday's lesson in Relief Society (April 22nd), Sister Tyskerud is requesting that you each choose a scripture from any of the "Standard works" of scriptures.  Choose one that has had meaning in your life or that gives you comfort in some way and then MEMORIZE IT!  Yes, please come to class with a memorized favorite scripture and where it is found.  I thank you for accepting this assignment and pray that you will not find this task daunting, but uplifting.

• Don't forget our cooking class activity tomorrow- bring an apron!
• Sister Jordan is at Eagle view extended care (St. Joseph's) and would like a few visitors.
