August 29th Announcements

Hello Sisters!

• There is a Stake Leadership meeting on September 11
• The Stake Relief Society Broadcast is happening September 25th.  We will be organizing carpools for those that may be interested.
• Sister Tyskerud is getting an order of wholesale food and grains.  If the order is large enough, the shipping costs will be waived.  The price list is at http://healthykitchens.com/wholesale_food_and_grain_order.html .  If you are interested contact Glenda for more information AND to place your order.  She can be reached at 250-334-8580, or at Tysker@shaw.ca.

Weekly announcements for August 22

There isn't much for this week, ladies. 

• A big thanks to everyone who came out and made our beach picnic such a success.
• Sister Grant is having some health challenges right now.  If you can help provide meals (lunch & dinner for 2), please contact Sister Nakashima.
• The Stake Women's Conference is coming up in September.

Week of August 15, 2010

Several sisters have mentioned that it would be nice to have a Facebook page or Blog for annoncements and such. We thought a blog is easier to access for some and can always be posted on Facebook, so here we are.
Please bear with us as we figure out what information gets posted here and the form it takes.  The Blog being created to aid the sisters in the Courtenay Ward better serve one another, and I am hopeful that at least a few will find this page of value.  I am thinking the weekly announcements and "The Friendshipper" could be posted here to start.  In time, maybe we could post pictures of ward activities, a calandar, or other items here. I have also set up a dedicated email address at CourtenayRS@hotmail.com for us to use.

If you have any suggestions or critisisms, just comment and let us know what you think.

Now for the announcements-

• Don't forget the dinner at Air Force Beach.  Wednesday August 18th at 6:00.  Bring a friend, favourite dessert (recipes to be exchanged later), lawn chairs, plates, utensils, and a cup.  Taco salad and drinks will be provided.
• The sister missionaries are looking for sisters to do splits with them on Tuesdays in the month of August.
• The Stake Relief Society Women's Conference is set for Saturday, Sept 25th at 1pm in Nanaimo.  We will be carpooling from here.
